Bone Marrow Drive this SUNDAY!
Dear Friends,
This SUNDAY, April 19th, is a real opportunity to help save someone’s life. This Sunday there is a free bone marrow drive. Larry Hirsch, marrow recipient and survivor and Rabbi Kahn 2 time donor with both be there to support the drive and answer questions. To be registered in the directory, all you have to do is have a swab of the mouth. You must be between 18-60 years old, in good health, and be willing to donate bone marrow if you are selected for a person in need. Most recipients are cancer patients and many are children. This sponsored event is free, however funding is limited and it costs $52 to be added to the registry; they ask you consider making a $25 tax deductible donation to “The Marrow Foundation” to offset costs. You can learn more at marrow.org.
The drive is at Congregation Beth Israel, on the corner of 56th Street and Shea Blvd. (10460 N. 56th St, 85253) from 9am-12pm, Sunday, April 19th.
I am on the registry and my mother is a cancer survivor.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jolene Kuty
