Get Moving with Kuty Chiropractic
A new study shows that if a 16 year-old male has a high BMI, that is weight for height, then he has an up to 4.5 times higher chance of having arthritis, degenerative disc disease, in his back at only 21 years old! Smoking caused similar degeneration to the back. 558 total 21 year-olds of various weight were given an MRI showing that 21% had mild degeneration, 17% moderate degeneration, and 17% severe disc degeneration. This is a very high number and to me indicates that our youth simply are not moving enough. All people need to get at least 4 hours of physical activity daily. Go grocery shopping, get adjusted here at Kuty Chiropractic, park far and walk, take a lunch break and walk at the park, do jumping jacks and run in place. Whatever you do, MOVE! Chiropractic care is very helpful for arthritis disc degeneration at all ages, but prevention is the best health care. Encourage your whole family from toddler to seniors to move everyday to enjoy your best health. (source: BMC Musculoskelet Disord. 2013;14(87))

Thus far I have only worked with children from 2 weeks to teens. The Physician that I would want to work with is an Obstetrics (OB) because they are in direct contact with pregnant women and their children during pregnancy. Then we could start adjusting kids from birth right in the transition of care. And, being there to help the mothers while they’re in a vulnerable state. One of my main reasons is because I think that the whole birthing process is fascinating and to be able to be a part of family’s lives while going through this process, I imagine to be extremely rewarding.

Wow, I think you will be a great chiropractor. It seems like you have a real love for children, famlaies, and people in general. Sad to say that those qualities are rare traits in todays world. I believe not just anyone should be in just any job because you could be in a job that you hate and end up making everyone who comes in contact with you at work miserable. You have the joy and care to be great at your job and effect those you will be working around not only by your knowledge , but by your love for what you do.

I couldn’t agree more about geritarics. I miss sitting with some of the elderly individuals I used to help and they would tell me stories for hours about the things that they witness when they were younger, and the lives that they lived up to the point that they needed care. I have always felt that the elderly know how to live their lives better than anyone, and they for sure never take it for granted! Sometimes the people taking care of them are not good people though, and it always breaks my heart to see someone talking badly to an elderly man or woman.I like how you made a switch from little tiny babies that have no real experience with life, to elderly men and women who have lived life to its fullest and still have more life to share with others. Such opposites!

For me, choosing a career in chiropractic is easy. I was lucky enogh to have the opprotunity to work as a Chiropractic Assistant prior to moving. What an amazing field! No two cases are the same. Working for a chiropractor provides the benefits of a private office setting and unique treatments. Dr. Kuty is an amazing doc. She saw infants, kids, and adults. Thank you again for letting me shadow.

I have not really cheosn what kind of specialists I would like to work under, but I do believe that it would be fun to work in a chiropractor’s office. I originally was going for my B.A. in Psychology, but switched. There are so many to choose from that sound absolutely interesting. Such as working under an Internist or going simple and working under a Family practitioner. Even Gerontologist sounds like fun. I love the “aging population” and they have stories and much to teach. For the moment I am going to take this degree one step at a time and try to find the place that fits me best.

valuable knowledge on the topic of kids and chiropractic. a lot of people don’t know about chiropractic for kids when I mention it at school to other parents I get this look and say, you should go.
Kristine Preiss says
I never knew any of this, so scary. We have to get kids up to exercise and get chiropractic care. If they sit all game with video games and ipads then they will get all messed up like us computer desk job people.
Nathan Standley says
When my son fell off his bike the chiropractor helped him walk straight again, otherwise, he’d have arthritis too. Thank god for chiropractors. I didn’t want him to be on pain meds for his life. You have to fix the structure problems.

The type of physician I would like to work for is a Pediatric Chiropractor. Pediatric chiropractor sceaiplty is to work with children. I have been working with children for a long time mainly because I work at a daycare facility. I’ve got to a point where I feel like I can handle anything that will come my way with them. It would also leave me feeling good at the end of the day to know that I have helped in some way to make a child feel better.

Kids are our most important things. If we have pains as adults, don’t you think kids get pains too. All kids should see a chiropractor just like they see a pediatrician to look in their eyes and ears.

FrancesBinnie says
Chiropractor help realign the spine, being bunched up inside is hard on the little bodies. Chiropractor care can help with reflux, colic, skin issues, crying fits, sleep. The list goes on. I know many friends who had their kids adjusted and after two, just two adjustments their babies had no more reflux, no signs of colic, no more vomiting.
petra says
